Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as a journalist and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle beach, South Carolina. She later worked as the morning news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD-TV. The journalist's report on the lack of police response towards DUI incidents in Charleston resulted in an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which resulted in a new direction from the state authorities on DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell received the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. After her time in Charleston O'Dell served as anchor, co-anchor, and investigative reporter for the NBC Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. In addition to her current role as anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also a contributor to NBC News' Today and also contributes to Dateline NBC. She covered events such as The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. As well as co-hosting the Pre Show Arrivals for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. She also hosts the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
